The brief
Slurp Lah needed to be loud enough to hold its own on a convenience store shelf and warm enough to feel like somebody's family recipe. Instant laksa, positioned as true comfort food. I went with bold hand-lettered type and a bright, hungry palette across the cup, the packet line (Laksa, Chili Crab, Green Curry), and a storefront concept.
It grew beyond identity into a full marketing plan: a launch party in San Francisco, social content direction, and a go-to-market strategy that weaves the sustainability piece, the “for the planet” part, right into how the product gets sold.
Social
The audience research chose the channel before any artwork did. Both target profiles read food blogs, follow Tik Tok foodies, and buy things because of influencers or an eye-catching Instagram ad, so the launch was built to live right there in their feeds.
The launch post is an invitation you accept by joining in. Comment “shiok”, the Singaporean word for so good it's almost unbelievable, tag the friend you're bringing, and the details plus a password arrive by DM. Every one of those is an action the algorithm counts, so the post lifts the feed while it fills the room, and the password turns a public invite into something that feels secret and special.
